Katie Eary needs no introduction

We know how everyone is sitting at the edge of their seats waiting for the big show to start, but before we start reviewing the new collections there is one particular designer that we are dying to see what she,yes it's a girl, comes up with this time around.

Katie Eary took the fashion world by storm when she launched her first collection for Fall 2009 and if by now you've never heard of Eary, then we are sure that the last time you purchased a decent men's fashion publication, Victoria Beckham was only pregnant with her 3rd child.

What puts Katie Eary in a completely different league than all the other virtually new menswear designers is her attention to detail, as everything is bespoke and handmade by the designer herself with top-quality unsurpassed materials including wool, brass and leather.

Her adroit manipulation of prints, materials and fabrics blends perfectly with her artistic inventiveness and  exceptionally skillfull design techniques.Having already translated her own dexterity to a limited capsule line for mega e-tailer Asos, brought sportswear company Lonsdale back to fashion light and with four buzz-filled successful collections under her belt, Eary looks set to become even bigger than some people have already predicted.

For her Spring/Summer 2011 collection, advertently titled "Velvet Machine", the designer teamed up with photographer Thomas Lohr and director Dean Mayo Davies to create a story telling lookbook showcasing what could be a magnificently raw but put-together, real British mentality shoot.

Katie Eary Launches Womenswear Line

As one of the rising menswear designers within the British fashion industry, Katie Eary has been attracting critical acclaim since the launch of her eponymous label as part of the Fashion East MAN collective two seasons ago. Synonymous for her bold, statement prints and her curious blend of traditional tailoring fused with urban street-wear styling; her work is often described as "aggressively beautiful".

With both sexes united in their love for her slick designs, it was only natural for Eary to take the next step and develop a range for women. Launched this September, her first ever womenswear line for Catwalk Genius will be available to purchase online here. The collection, which very much retains Eary's trademark ultra-detailed digital prints, is a unique offering of dresses, t-shirts, socks and tights with hyper-real python and leather prints.

The youngest menswear at LFW

London is probably the most avant garde fashion capital, therefore many from the next A/W 10/11 men collections are composed by eclectic, modern and fanciful garments.

The Mensday at London Fashion Week was full of very interesting proposals where we could once again reaffirm why London is the ideal market for young designers to launch their brands.

When talking about modernism and trendiness at LFW, a name springs up my mind very quickly: Katie Eary. She gave a meaning to the word 'show' with her animal lookalike prints, accessories and very colourful clothes.

White is not the preferred colour for this season either, but Central Saint Martins was dare enough to show some really cool white looks. Young designers are always meant to be the most risky ones.

TopMan Design upgraded the brand deciding to carry out their first independent catwalk. As it was expected, they did not disappoint anyone. The colour palette was dominated by green army, oxford red and black. The military inspiration look was reinforced with boots and other details such as necklaces and hats.
