On Trend: The Moustache

The moustache. In the past, this defiant look has been subject to much debate, but now is experiencing somewhat of a renaissance. Once a look usually reserved for balding policemen or (on the contrary) dictators of late, the humble moustache has now once again regained the stylish sophistication often associated with old school Hollywood glamour. With thespians such as Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig channeling Clark Gable with their own variant of the stylized facial hair, the moustache has also invaded the fashion scene with models having sported the look on the pages of 7TH MAN.

Now the moustache is making new name for itself as a symbol of good with the global charity initiative, Movember. Currently in full swing, Movember sees over one million participants grow a moustache over the course of the month to raise funds and awareness in aid of men's health.

Naturally, growing a moustache does require some initial thought. After all, this is one look that can go horribly wrong. And while growing a handle-bar style 'tache may be all well and good for comic effect, we say it's best stick with a more sleek, modern style.
