Karl Lagerfeld goes viral for Hogan

Continuing their successful collaboration, Hogan and Karl Lagerfeld have just released this unique video,where Karl, the man himself is talking us through their Autumn/Winter collection, sharing his thoughts on Hogan the brand and even gives an advice or two to any wondering investors about the Chinese woman and the chinese market.

If last week's LFW taught us anything, stomping around the nation's capital in between shows can pay havoc on our feet. Le Carrosse Noir and The Loubi's Angels

It’s that time of year again, when the rich and famous descend upon the French Riviera for the sparkling film fest at Cannes, now in its' 63rd year. The town, which has become just as synonymous with fashion as it has with film, played host to a Christian Louboutin showcase yesterday at the Palm Beach Casino where Louboutin unleashed his designs in a glittering presentation entitled “ Le Carrosse Noir and The Loubi’s Angels’.

While Loubi’s Angels may have been the main attraction, teetering in their skyscraper heels complete with signature Louboutin red soles; examples from Louboutin’s men’s collection stole the show, such as these black and white studded “Freddy" flats and Louboutin’s street inspired studded “Louis” sneakers.

The spectacular presentation also launched the first episode of Louboutin's film "Le Carrosse", with the next episodes to be released in the following weeks.  The 28 minute film is described as "a razzle dazzle road movie" with a stellar soundtrack by Swizz Beatz and features a number of famous faces including Mika and Dita Von Teese.

Here's a grand preview of B Store's Aw10 footwear collection. From the small peek it looks like they have stayed with their iconic shapes, and the crepe sole is here to stay! Also reminding us that London fashion week is only weeks away. Last Season, B Store was inspired by the movie "the Graduate" and managed classic Americana sportswear of the runway.

Always exciting to see what's in store for this season, but one thing is for sure you can count on it to be classical with a twist.

Preview!! Alter/Jeffrey Campbell Collection

Alter has teamed up with Jeffrey Campbell for an in-store collection debut event. Expect to find the whole fall/winter-09 line, which will be available this Thursday and remain for sale throughout the weekend. There will be shoe giveaways, along with the Jeffrey Campbell team to greet and meet all guests, with champagne.

Fairground Fun at Mulberry

The Mulberry SS'10 ladies shows took place earlier today at the prestigious Claridges Hotel. There were Salon-style presentations at 4 different time slots which allowed for a more intimate look at the collection in a more relaxed environment, and more flexible for the packed LFW schedule.

On arrival to the Claridges Ballroom, the entire space was transformed into a candy-colored fairground, complete with carousel horses, helium balloons, and candy apples on our seats!

The ready-to-wear collection featured cute lightweight summer dresses teamed with relaxed tomboy tailoring.

There were soft puff sleeve jackets and dresses, fitted tops and pleat front shorts. These were shown in large, over sized, abstract carousel horse/horse head and fuzzy florals prints, in a palette of vivid sun-bleached brights as well as more neutral tones:

There were also some super chic black pieces in satin back crepe with over sized bows on them, and the leather, fabric and gemstone embellishments in the final section of the show were fun and paid homage to the prom night corsage:

The classic Mulberry Biker jacket was updated this season in soft washed leather: in nude, butter, mushroom and black.

The Mulberry accessories remains strong for SS'10. The humble Moccasin has been transformed into a high heel bootie with suede fringing long enough to touch the ground! Long leather and suede fringing also featured on the handbags:

What made us smile especially were the Mulberry dog outfits worn by the pugs in the show - in logo coated canvas and denim:

It was a really sweet and optimistic show and we left the presentation with a warm smile on our faces.

(On a sad note though, Mulberry will no longer be doing Menswear after AW09.... we hope that this will change as the economy improved. The Mens accessories line will continue.)
